Collection consists of correspondence (1934-1991), especially regarding peace research and education; includes Mary Jo Uphoff's involvement with Youth Committee Against War (of the Keep America Out of War Congress); documents Walter Uphoff's part in founding of the Peace Research Organization Fund (PROF), 1963-1966; the Wisconsin Committee Against Peacetime Conscription (1944-1945), and involvement with peace movements in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Colorado; also includes information about labor and student dissent to the Vietnam War. Correspondents include Brigadier-General Michael Harbottle, and their son, Norman Thomas Uphoff.
